Lloyd's story
Lloyd Eist died a young man in August 2012 when he lost his battle to cancer. He was often the catalyst which encouraged many others to realise a dream is achievable if you have the will and encouragement to work for it. From his early youth to adulthood he assisted in developing confidence in many young people to overcome their fears and inhibitions to achieve an ambition and be comfortable with their own lives.
Lloyd was a lovely young man, full of life, energy and enthusiasm and put his whole into everything he attempted and would help anybody where he possibly could. As a young adult he was involved with the Music for Youth organisation and continued with this for many years. He was an accomplished scuba diver and a keen cyclist - he even rode over the French Alps for Diabetes UK.
The LLOYD EIST FOUNDATION is here to help and inspire young people who wish to achieve their ambition, whether it be in education, music, sport or any other extra curricular activity where families of limited means cannot afford the cost required but wish their child the opportunity to fulfil an ambition.
We also support organisations that provide the means for young people to undertake such extra curricular activities. It costs money to run these programmes, provide equipment, staff and premises and it's not always feasible to ask parents for financial support.
Lloyd was, and still is, well loved and respected in both his private and business life. He touched the hearts of so many and left a great void in our lives.
